Everything gets recycled in my house from cardboard boxes to tin cans. I even stopped using plastic bags now - I have a fab selection of Jute and string bags instead.
I'm feeling a bit seen off today as one of my reusable bags from Sonofmorris is looking a bit ropey and near to failing; it's only a couple of months old as well. If it does break then I shall have to work on a reconstruction plan thus saving the planet just a little bit.
If you bought it as a Bag for Life, take it back and ask them to change it for a new one. I Bought mine from Pestco about 3 years ago and they exchange them when they are no longer usable.

All plastic, like returned carrier bags and including that which has been aroung delivered goods is stored in cages and sent back to the depot on the emptied delivery lorries. Same goes for cardboard packaging. Off to recycling plant from depots. Perhaps not all bad?

That's right Effie. When I do a store delivery, I work for Q & B, I reload with waste, which goes back to the depot to be sorted and is then collected by various re cycling companies. Damaged electrical items are stripped for their metal, plastics and cardboard are baled, and wood is collected and sent for chipping. If you go shopping at night you will see the shelf packers separating the waste as they work. The newer large distribution depots have purpose built recycling sheds where the trailers are unloaded as they come in.
