Smelly loo?

Post by Katt »

Well you could spend a small (ish) fortune on loo blocks and squirty freshner things or you could save a bob or two and get a bowx of matches. When you've left the loo and it smells less than fresh, strike a match. Hold it in the bowl. The smell from the struck match masks the other smell and the flame burns off the methane.

Nice and clean smelling without the nasty chemicals.

I use bicarbonate of soda with a sprinkle of lemon juice (passed its UBD)or vinegar - works well as does a spray adding water to it.

Matches also work for when you are peeling onions put it in your mouth BUT blow it out first!! It stops you crying.

Needless to say, I never have this problem yike*

When I have had the occasional visitor, I've used the match thingy (something to do with sulphor I think) or just timed it as time to clean anyway.

I've had pot pourie in there, but I guess that's not very frugal.
