Very poor wood puns!! :-D

I have spent some time researching solid fuel stoves and boilers, due to my 'goal' (read elsewhere)!

Do you want a stove or boiler? Why sawdust particularly, do you have a limitless supply, cos you'll need one?!

Any woodburning only stove will burn sawdust, as long as it's not multifuel, because they have a slotted grate, so the dust will fall through!

General rules: wood needs oxygen from above or front, coal needs oxygen from below.

Hi All,
These 'wood' puns have all the makings of a'log' post I started on another forum in relation to a problem Richard had at that time. The said post ran to 18 pages plus!
On a more topical point,I lived with a multifuel burner for 4 years and used it for sole source of heating and cooking sometimes.I never once ran out of 'scrap' to burn,I even had people knocking my door or leaving wood to be used by myself.
If I were in the position again I would have a stove connected to a back boiler. My stove was a Tiger Classic and was excellent value for money, being just over £350 new and a further £70 for plate for fireplace and install! It incinerated everything I put on it and with an 'air wash' system built in, devoured the smoke as well!Even though I spend little time at my own home these days, the cost of gas is already eating into my budget 'Big style'.
Finally.Nothing beats sitting in front of a warm stove at the end of the day and soaking up the aroma, the dancing flames and of course, the HEAT!
