I'm not into Sales, but I know some do have some pretty good bargains now and again.

Maybe you're after buying something in particular and someone else knows of somewhere they can get it?

etc.

I loathe going round the shops, but bravely ventured forth this morning.

OH has a birthday at the end of next month, and we went looking for trousers at our local factory outlet. Brilliant! Cost £22.50, reduced from £47.

I got a jumper (to replace present from daughter in law, goodness knows what I would look like in her choice), knocked down from £25 to £15.

Over the way to Pound St.....r, two bags of mealworms reduced from £1.99 to 99p, and

A beautiful red plush throw for the living room settee, £9.99, reduced from £14.99. Was going to dye an old bedspread for a throw, but dye is £4.95 at present, and would need two boxes.

Well pleased with our bargain hunt. Around forty pounds saved.

Hi Richard and all,

Don't know if this in right place, but I'm sure someone will point me in the right direction....

Not posted for ages, but am now moving house.... sort of downsizing! My flock of 17 rescuees have, apart from one, crossed over rainbow bridge after happy, spoilt, free ranging lives. Violet was lonely so two young Orpingtons came to keep her happy. The girls are joining me in a smaller garden with super duper new accommodation. And here is my question..... I have a large electric fence kit which I was about to put on ebay and remembered seeing 2nd hand goodies on here years ago and would prefer to sell it on here, but don't know how to go about it!
Sorry to ramble on ..... )hlp>
Regards
Jane

I went into Ldyll this morning and bought the largest size Jeyes Fluid, 1ltr, for £5.49. My local garden centre sells the sam size for around £14.
I use it in the chicken run and stock up at the odd time that the shop sells it forl this price.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

Damart have good sale on, I have bought next years chicken coat (which now guarantees a mild war winter).

I have bought size 14 which is nice and roomy without being stupidly big IYSWIM.

Thanks for the reminder Mrs B - my winter coat is now a bit thread bare as it must be well over 11 years old. I had a look on the site but none appealed and those that did, did not have my size. Anyway, googled coats for sale and Tesco's F&F range had some good bargains - I got a coat which I liked for just £15 (75% off!) If it doesn't feel right for going out in, I can easily use it for wearing in the garden or allotment and not get too stressed of dirtying a new-ish coat )t'
