boos frugal febboos frugal febright lets do this!!!
1. as soon as the weather or more importantly the roads become less ropey. im going to use my bike as much as possible i have at least one day where i don't do school run that i can bike to work, and when the weather is better we will walk the school/run about a mile and a half. also going down the allotment and shopping on the bike. 2.meal plan!!!! cheap good meals. 3. again weather dependent less dryer more line drying. 4.im not going to buy anymore cleaning/beauty products until ive used the dregs of what are left. 5. change jar. 6. start putting money aside each month for christmas and my festival ticket in july. 7. take lunches to work and leave my purse at home!!! photos of allotment & other nice things: http://pinterest.com/girlontheplot/

Re: boos frugal febI've got a indoor airer that folds away, it's the best thing I ever bought! I still tumble dry towels but the rest goes on the airer. When it's dry, the washing just gets folded away.

Re: boos frugal feb
We stopped using our dryer in September when we moved here. There have been a couple of times when I've nearly caved & used it, but we've stuck it out so far. The biggest challenge I've found is sticking to a routine with the laundry and making sure I stick to it even on weekends/holidays/lazy days. It's almost second nature now. I wish I'd never been given the drier really- we managed fine before we had one, and it just sort of crept up on us. "Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder..." Thoreau.
Re: boos frugal febI will use the food I have in 2 freezers, there is only me and the cats, but I have so much frozen food it is awful,I buy up bargains and "reduced items" but forget to get them out of freezer and go and buy other items.I will also exercise my 3 Cavaliers more but as the walking area has been so icy and frozen over I was frightened of falling,I shall be 70 in September, saying about full freezers, during this bad weather,I have only had to go to the local shop for my basics.
Maggie Re: boos frugal febToday I've spent £2 taking boo swimming! And I've also washed up too save using the dishwasher x

Re: boos frugal febEnd of play today I cycled 11 miles 6 of those we essential fuel saving journeys. I went to the farm shop and spent 2:50 on veg for a soup for tomorrow. I had to use my car to go to a nail client tonight though. I had run out of mascara today. So bought a new one which cost me 5:00 but I managed to get 3:00 of points using vouchers for it, at a well known chemist!! So that's 3:00 saving on something else. If that makes sense. So day one a good result I think. X
