Re: AGAMy parents have an electric immersion heater that they use for hot water when the rayburn isn't lit. As Holly said, it's quite possible to just keep it at a pleasant ambient temperature, once you've got the hang of it.

Re: AGANo I don't use it for hot water, I already had a new central heating boiler so I didn't bother to use my Esse for water. In hindsight perhaps I should have because my boiler has broke down so many times and I've had to use my immersion heater for hot water.
