So you don't use yours for hot water as well?

My parents have an electric immersion heater that they use for hot water when the rayburn isn't lit. As Holly said, it's quite possible to just keep it at a pleasant ambient temperature, once you've got the hang of it.

No I don't use it for hot water, I already had a new central heating boiler so I didn't bother to use my Esse for water. In hindsight perhaps I should have because my boiler has broke down so many times and I've had to use my immersion heater for hot water.
