Anyone have Home Insurance they trust?

Our home and contents insurance are up for renewal and the quote has come in rather pricey. Have run comparison site quotes, and there are some great prices out there, but most companies come out in reviews as appalling when people actually try to claim.
Anyone have experience of a decent company that actually pays out if you need them?

We're with Churchil and have never had a problem when we've needed to make a claim.
