I give secondhand pressies too. Bought a brand new poker set for my son from a charity shop half the price of the high street shops at the time. Lots of charity shops sell brand new goods now so worth a look before giving your money away to the "big shops".
Also bought a lovely brand new dress scarf and lots of books never been read.
It is better to give than receive and if its something you have given thought to, I dont see the problem.

By the time I get out of Harrods I'm far too tired to go traipsing round charity shops.................... Perhaps I'll send Jeeves
