Sometimes Other Peoples' Laziness Pays Dividends

Post by Totally Scrambled »

Went shopping this morning at Sasda and as usual had to take half a skip full of the last shoppers rubbish out of the trolley.
As I was disconnecting it from the trolley snake I noticed that amongst the litter was a till receipt, there was a receipt in each if the next two trollies as well.
I scooped it all up and was about to chuck it all in the bin when I wondered if the receipts would yield any money off vouchers so stuck them in my pocket.
Just got home, packed away the shopping and plugged the till numbers into the web site and each one was worth something. In all I have vouchers that will give me £11.07 off my next shop.
Ali and the girls will probably be telling me I'm a bit tight but who cares :-D

PS Also found 5p on the pavement so I'm well chuffed )t'

)like( that as well.

I always check people's left receipts here for money of fuel....why throw them away seems daft.

Well done.
Being relatively new to this shopping lark, which I absolutely detest I will add .
I didn't know you could get money off on receipts.
I will look in future )t'
