This was an old plant container, part filled it with cement and shoved 'half' broomhandles into it.. Its a 'home' for the dirty wellies and keeps them dry inside..

Good idea that!Funny,it reminds me of similar scenes when the M25 was being built,esp those flyover uprights!

Oh, I forgot to say, if you make the back posts slightly longer than the front ones, it makes grabbing the dirty wellies easier & less messy :shock:

Thats a very pretty welly tree (reminds me of the spoof spaghetti tree that they did on the TV many years ago for April fool) :-D :) :-D

There's an idea Mo... wouldnt even need an old plant container... just leave the feet sticking out and use them :shock:

on my way to school when i was 11 or 12 there was a woman that had a kettle tree,it was a huge tree and she hung all sorts of painted kettles on it everyone used to stop and look at it :) :) :) :)

Willow, great idea. My wellies are always outside of front door (poor postman has tripped over them a few times!).

Yesterday went out to put them on and forgot it had been raining, I hate cold damp feet.

That's a really cheap way of making a stand for your wellies, my friend's husband bought her a metal one last year and it was well over £50. I've got one of those containers in the back garden and we've got plenty of plaster/cement from having building work done, so am going to give that a go this weekend.

Do I need to treat the wood with anything?
