This was an old plant container, part filled it with cement and shoved 'half' broomhandles into it.. Its a 'home' for the dirty wellies and keeps them dry inside..

Good idea that!Funny,it reminds me of similar scenes when the M25 was being built,esp those flyover uprights!

Oh, I forgot to say, if you make the back posts slightly longer than the front ones, it makes grabbing the dirty wellies easier & less messy

Willow, great idea. My wellies are always outside of front door (poor postman has tripped over them a few times!).
Yesterday went out to put them on and forgot it had been raining, I hate cold damp feet.
That's a really cheap way of making a stand for your wellies, my friend's husband bought her a metal one last year and it was well over £50. I've got one of those containers in the back garden and we've got plenty of plaster/cement from having building work done, so am going to give that a go this weekend.
Do I need to treat the wood with anything?
