I have never found one that works properly. They just don't wipe their feet, only walk across. I never thought of the mud when I went for white tiles :?

I bought a similar thing, not so expensive though' and although it makes these claims and is great for getting the mud off shoes when you wipe them it doesn't suck the mud off the dogs feet :) which is kind of what it claimed! It goes in the washing machine though' and comes out almost dry enough to put back down.

I would be interested in hearing about these better quality ones as well.

Hi

i am nervous about buying one i must admit i you pay a bit more you expect them to work, so hoping someone has a fab one to tell me about, if i can wash it it will have a bit of longevity.

Regards

I have 2 - one at front, one at back door.

I think a 4 ft one would be the answer at it would def catch more mud. A standard size one isn't bad but not that good either.

I have tried the cheap and the expensive ones, and have not found one that works. We now use old throws and towels for them to walk across. the old candle wick bed throws are great, but take a bit of drying.

I have a clay-based swamp outside my back door (allegedly it's a garden) and have found that NOTHING stops muddy paws from leaving prints. Now I use a rag rug I got for £2 in the enormous sweedish shop, it takes the rough off so to speak and is easily chucked in the machine - and at that price I'm not overly worried about it getting ruined!!

Hello Mellonia - got mine mail order from a company called uk covers - they do outdoors stuff wellies etc & doggy stuff too. I have had mine about 10 years or so and they have been great. But bigger would have been better!
