From pallet to strawberry planter

Post by AL37 »

I made this a few weeks back but only just got round to posting about it.
Its 99% pallet wood. Not clear in the picture but at head height there is a rail with enough space for four hanging baskets for more yummy strawbs. :-D

Thanks Helen.

Jen, if you can draw me a picture of a longlistofthings then I can build you one. )grin2(

I think I have mentioned it before but when I decide I need to build or make something for a particular job, I will keep it in mind for maybe a day or two sometimes it may be months. eventualy I will get an image of what I want and normally I can build it with materials I have to hand.
There is going to be a few things made from pallets by my fair hand over the next few weeks as I have a good stock of the 2.4m ones. :-D

While you are at it Al could you build me a longfeltwant?

Like the planter, that will keep the strawberries away from the slugs etc, and be really easy to net.

Could you build me a prototype of a perfect man....but could you make sure his brains are in the right place please. Then it would be truly unique.

It looks great, Al.
My problem with pallets is getting them apart without the wood splitting and getting those big square bits off.

I agree Sunny those pallets are a pain to dismantle. I much prefer the ones with the spars running the full width of the pallet.
