PVA wash for flaky ceilings

does the panel know what how to make a PVA wash for a flaky ceiling ... The Missus is getting a tad bogged off cos I haven't finished painting bathroom ceiling but me and DIY is a little like cold nettle soup and custard.

Get some PVA and mix it down with water and paint/roller it on.
However if the bathroom is humid - it may not help as it is water based....

Sorry got to disagree with PVA on any ceilings or walls unless it is prior to plastering work.

PVA will leave a surface that paint will have trouble adhering to.

I would brush off/scrape back as much of the loose stuff as possible and then prime the area with a suitable primer.

A company calleed Zinsser make a product called Gardz

After the primer has been applied you can fill any areas that need attention and then I would apply a second coat of primer.

Two coats of a suitable topcoat, eggshell is good for a bathroom as it will resist the humidity.
