Dom, I would tack a suitable membrane over existing wall battens and then fit more battens with a suitable thickness of insulation then board it, you have the best of both worlds then. Timber cladding, air void, membrane, insulation, sheet lining. )t'

YOu blokes are just trying to make it sound specialised and scientific aren't you? Probably only needs a few used egg boxes and some sellotape.

Look, if I can lay a perfect carpet in my fluffy leopard print slippers.......oh -perhaps that is why they are called 'carpet slippers'. {rofwl}
