Leaky flushboxLeaky flushboxHubby had to fit a new loo and flush box last weekend ..Tried a couple of plumbers who failed to get back to us so he did it himself.
We have a leak from the flush box, he has tried every way to tighten and seal it to no avail .....any ideas From a wellie wearing Dee!! Re: Leaky flushboxOh dear, hope STG or Foggy get on here soon!!!!!
What colour wellies Re: Leaky flushboxDee, is it a bog where the cistern sits on top of the pan?
Or does it have a flush pipe? I have to go out very soon, so asap please..
Re: Leaky flushboxYep, more info needed and a piccy would help.

Re: Leaky flushboxSorry folks been out all day.
Its a close coupled cistern and loo with a push button flush , the leak is not from the water inlet its where the the cistern fits onto the loo , sorry to be a little vauge , hope this gives you a better idea Dee x Re: Leaky flushboxIt will be leaking at the donut.
Rip the cistern off again and re- install using silicon as a bedding agent on both sides of the donut.Tighten up and wait fa few hours before any use - if poss. That normally works. Otherwise give me a bell.
Re: Leaky flushboxAlso check that the cistern is square and not leaning backwards, forwards or to either side. The donut needs even compression to work 100%, if one attachment nut is too tight then it will allow water to pass from t'other side. It could be that the nuts are not quite tight enough. Try pushing down on the cistern slightly and see if you can get a couple of extra turns from the nuts but don't over tighten.
If the cistern is too far away from the wall you can use a timber batten to take up the space. Vir prudens non contra ventum mingit
