Tips on building a sliding door for hen house

Hi all,

i'm very new to chicken keeping...so new that i only received my coop today. I get my chickens mid June. The coop came without a sliding door to the actual hen house so there is no way to shut them in at night.
After the initial shock we decided that we would have a go a making one so i'm asking for any tips or advice you might have...looks like the weekend will be spent in DIY stores.
