Non Electric light bulb, pretty amazing

Post by Pyrotech »

Probably not what your expecting, but this simple idea must surely get the frugal thumbs up, and the good it does is probably incalculable.

Yes I've seen this, very good.
Pity it wont work here.

I don't need it in this small house but anything bigger and I would consider solar tubes, they help a lot.

Well, in the days of home working and candles lacemakers used glass globes to illuminate their work.
Imagine straining your eyes to do that sort of fancy work.

tea clipper ships used "deck lighting" it was a prism set flush into the upper deck and have a prism that would light the deck below

Mainly because we live in large airy two story buildings with large windows .
If it is dark inside then it's dark outside.

I see what you mean now, I can see that they wouldn't work in your average three bed semi but no reason why it wouldn't work in an outhouse that has a corrugated roof similar to the one in the clip ??

Agreed but so would a clear plastic panel.
The places it's install, there is very bright sunlight and no choice of building material.
