Farmhouse Shabby Chic!!!.....

Just thought I would share this with your goodselves, I made/built a farmhouse table for my Jan, some 12-13yrs ago, but as fashions change everything that was done a while ago looks dark and dreary!.
So Jan put her fashion hat on and decided that we will go shabby chic with the table & chairs, so we stripped the table of its original stain/varnish, primed and painted the lower half, and I will finish it off the top with 3-4 coats of danish oil .

It's the lean-to at the rear of the house, where I do most of my work (it's covered and close to tea & coffee!)

Put first coat of danish oil on today, brought the grain of the wood out beautifully!,
still got a couple of more coats to go!..

Are we going to see the finished result? The table is a lovely shape and colour but smart for shabby chic. More French farmshouse, a style that I love.
