greenhouse on slabs

Post by barkingmad »

Well not sure how everyone else is coping in this wind but my greenhouse is moving all the time so if the wind hold for a bit I want to screw the greenhouse to the slabs its standing on.
Now my question is ?

I will use a masonary drill bit and I'm thinking a wall plug ? can some one correct me if i'm wrong here.

A friend mention cement but I dont want to in case I have to move the greenhouse at some point.

Thanks for your help

Yes plastic plugs if only on slabs, be careful if near slab edge though it can crack.
Only drill the plug depth and I would act a little gingerly with the hammer action on your drill. )t'

Yep, ours is fastened to the slabs. I had no problems using tha hammer drill. Depends what you greenhouse is made of as to how you do it, if made of wood it's easy, just use small angle irons. If its aluminium you may have to make some sort of clip to hook ver the frame.

As steve said, take it easy on the slabs with the hammer action, not to close to the edge and easy does it. )t'
