bird netting
bird nettingI buy my logs for the fire in net bags and the local shop saves me the nets that the green veg is delivered in.I cut them open and sow then together with garden twine and use them as netting over the seeds, peas especilly, not saving a great deal but it helps pass a rainy day and saves a couple of euro, every little helps so they say.
When Irish eyes are smiling, they are usually up to mischief.
Re: bird nettingIt's an excellent idea, Paddy!
Re: bird nettingI took one of those net bags and pinned it to my clothesline for a clothespin holder...also if you have delicates or small items, such as shoestrings and ribbons, you can put them in a net bag, tie up the end with a rubber band (from the newspaper) and toss it in the washer with the regular load; this way the ribbons or shoestrings won't go through the drain hole or tangle in the other clothing, during a wash~
