The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don't have
Woody Allen Re: Inspiration. This is what the marble top was destined for.
Its almost all pallet wood but its all recycled, what wasn't from pallets came from the firewood pile. Mrs Al is still looking for some cusions for the bench, we may get my sister in law to make some for us. We treated ourselves to this little chair, I love the design of it. The back is hinged so it swings over the to of the seat down to the floor to make it into a table. Still got the coffee table to finish and I will be painting the floor with red floor paint. All we need now is some sun so we can actualy sit out. Relax, I could have been a twin.
Re: Inspiration.Al, that is brilliant, you know, the many talents that laners have completely amazes me. Lets hope you get a decent summer so can enjoy. Extremely
Re: Inspiration.Just so you know I have moved this into DIY Projects from Recycled Materials because it has turned into more building than gardening.
As my facebook freinds will know Mrs Al has asked me to make a bar area so how could I refuse. This is todays work, cost so far for the bar, £0.00 I found the roof tiles in the undergrowth at the allotment last year and they had been there for years apparently. The timber came from stud walling in a shop in Durham last year. It was a case of being in the right place at the right time I got four trailer loads but it was on the condition that I took ALL the wood. What a result, some for the stove and some in storage for future projects like this. Relax, I could have been a twin.
Re: Inspiration.I must say Al, I'm impressed! Some really good ideas and they all fit in well together
Some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue.
Re: Inspiration.Al thats fantastic a right transformation. Cant wait to see pictures of the bar once its built Al, I built a bar for a bit of fun a few years ago to dispence my home brewed beer from.
Dont ever grow up, its a trap
