A couple of steps closer to being finished, the party is one week today. yike*
The way I feel at the minute I bet I sleep through it. )grin2(
So, the sink now has a tap, its not a conventional tap but I had it so it was used.

This stove belongs to a good mate, he has loaned it to me for the summer, I made the chimney from stuff that was lying around at the allotment, not the best chimney but functional.

I am determined to keep costs to a minimum on this. So far I have spent £36.00 but I did sell some polly tunnel hoops for £30 so you could say so far its cost £6.00.

Hi Orfy, the stove belongs to a mate, he actualy got it given to him by a collegue of his wifes, its only on loan to me. I have tried to buy it from him, I even offered a three figure sum of money but its bot for sale. )gr:
I can't blame him though, if it was mine I wouldnt sell it. I will eventualy make one myself when that one is returned. The pipe was left on my second allotment by the previous tennant, its mild steel and a bit thin for a permanent chimney but it will last a year or two. As part of the loan deal my mate will get the chimney back with the stove to put back in his allotment shed.

Upside down with the valve open for a coupe of weeks isn't it, Al?

Bob, I get over to the east coast a few times during the summer, where abouts are you?

I keep looking at the scrap yards for some 3 or 4 inch pipe for the flue. Welding I'm not too bad at, you can always grind it out and start again {rofwl}

Sent you a pm Steve.

To anyone else reading this DO NOT decomission gas bottles if you do not know what you are doing. Even an apparently empty gas bottle still has enough residual gas to blow your hand off.
There are also legal implications with certain bottles remaing to be the property of the gas company. )t'
