For all you budding genius DIYers

Post by entrus »

Hi all,

If you are into DIY, have a look at this site.

It is American, but I defy anyone not to find something interesting on here.

Topics are everything from technology to cheesemaking and in between.

I get the newsletter, it's GREAT!

I use it a lot for all sorts of craft tutes too!

The things people share is amazing! If I ever get myself into a proper crafting space I will be able to do absolutely anything!

It's well worth a look if you are planning to do/make just about anything at all!

My 'quick look' turned into two hours!

Hi Boosmummy,

Sucker him in! Get him to look for a quirky windvane for the shed, that way you will also have an excuse to carry on looking at the site for "new ideas". Don't forget to mention a wind generator, that should keep him busy for a few months.

Sneaky, but very effective!

Have a look at the "soda can" solar heater http://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-panel-air-heater-made-of-pop-cans/ whilst you are there, that is seriously clever, and cheap.

Also, take a look at Richard's new computer http://www.instructables.com/community/The-Ultimate-steampunked-computer-desk/

Have been having a thinking session whilst eating dinner and you could make a matching wall board, an ottoman top as well as the headboard. Oh, the ideas it has given me. )t'
