I agree with the experience beats puters any day.

Was watching Watchdog yesterday evening and a lot of car manufacturers are now not putting a spare wheel in the boot, but putting in a tyre repair kit. It is a liquid that you pump into the wheel, then when you get to the garage they wont clean the liquid out, so you have to have a new wheel!! Great..........not!

When I got my new car last year it comes with one of those repair kits as standard and a proper spare wheel is an optional extra. I paid a bit more for the peace of mind a spare gives you.

But, that said, I reckon it's about 8 years since I've had a flat tyre!

those 'road closed' signs that blow over so that you don't see them lieing there until you are too near, and the car behind is too close for OH to do anything except drive over it (so he claimed) are lethal to tyres.

I thought the light bulb question was about our fun and games yesterday trying to take down a lampshade. The plastic thingy wouldn't unscrew - heat had turned it brown, but a spanner got it off -in 2 bits.
