Japanese Saws The Verdict

Post by Totally Scrambled »

Today I have tried out my new saws and have to say so far I am impressed.
The pruning saw was like a hot knife through butter even going through 6" of green Hornbeam with very little exertion on my part.
Had a play with the ones I got for woodworking and they too cut very fast and pretty accurately. The lack of accuracy is probably down to me getting used to a new method of sawing though.
All in all I really like them )t'

Morning,
The pruning saw dosn't seem to have a makers name, or at least it is in Japanese which I can't read. My beutiful wife got it from Here
The wood working ones are Gyokucho Razorsaws, a Ryoba Ultra Fine - 240mm, a Dozuki Universal - 240mm and a Kataba Ultra Hard - 240mm. The last three are a set and are reduced in price on the same site that the pruning saw came from )t'

PS Ali had a go with the pruning saw yesterday and said it was easy to use and even she didn't find it hard going.
