My Shed of the Year

Post by Meanqueen »

Hello. My Summer House aka The beach Hut has been shortlisted into the final of Shed of the Year. It is in the Budget section because it only cost me £20. All the materials were free apart from a charitable donation of £20 for the second hand roof panels. All built by myself with no plans, no measurements, and no power tools.

If anyone likes my shed, could you please vote for it on the Shed of the Year web site.

You can read all about it here

Voted.
Yours was my favourite from the short-list, though it would have been a hard choice if The Hut and The Tardis had been there too. Both so good for their young occupants. Though I hope that winch is fail-safe.

Hi. Thank you for voting, please send the links to people you know, the more the merrier. You can vote for one shed in each of the eight categories.

The category winners are in with a chance of overall winner which is decided by judges. I don't expect to be chosen for that, if I am lucky enough to win in the Budget section. In fact I didn't even think I would get this far, I only entered because my blog readers told me to, and I thought it would be a bit of fun.

There will be some filming next month for the TV programme Shed of the Year, on Channel 4. transmission dates to be confirmed later.

Thanks for your support.

Thank you for your votes. A lot of the online national newspapers have got photographs of the sheds, the photographer who took mine did a really good job.

If you scroll through the pictures in this article you will see three of me and my shed.

Shed of the Year

The recent photographs show a big improvement from the first ones I took. I have been tarting it up bit by bit.
