Small white balls in potsSmall white balls in potsHi All,
Being a lovely bright day in London today, I was out mainly tidying and preparing for new season. In last year's pots etc, I saw loads of white/transparent ball-shaped eggs. What are they? And what should I do with the soil/compost where these eggs are present? Thanks, Kaveri
Re: Small white balls in potsEvening Kaveri,
I'm pretty sure those a slug or snails eggs. Dom Ali Woks My World

Yes I think so too Re: Small white balls in potsOh Dear! Or should I be happy as the girls will have a party
What should I do with all that last year's used up compost? I did empty most of the pots at the end of summer but have few left, which are all full of slugs in the making.
Re: Small white balls in potsSo THAT'S what those are!
Re: Small white balls in potsI also think that you probably have a nice nest of slug or snails eggs.
Time to also look out for vine weevil when empying out last years pots. These also look like little balls but are tiny curled up larve which wriggle away when touched. A dreadful pest that eats the roots of over wintering plants. These are easy to pick out and kill but snails eggs soil, not sure what to do with it. I am now a widow and live with my memories.
