Springtails?

Post by debs123 »

The bark in my orchid plant appears to be infested with minuscule silvery insects. }hairout{ I have looked on the internet and found something called springtails, which sort of fit the description. Has anyone else had these? I wondered what the best course of action is. The orchid is just coming into flower for the third time and I don't want to loose it.

No, way too big. I've had silverfish in the bathroom before. These are about the size of a pin head. Loads of the blighters all over the bark.
