Question about my summer Fushia

Post by lizziedoggarden »

I had a Fushia growing happily and it did very well...It dropped it's leaves etc when it got cold but I've noticed that it's budded up again and I'm not sure what to do with it now? I'm guessing the leaves etc will drop off? I keep it in my greenhouse over winter :-D
Don't dream it, BE it....

Yes Lizzie keep it in the greenhouse. It won't harm it to cut it back. Sometimes if the bits that you cut off are good if you pop them in beside the Mummy. You might get some babies. Don't water them until they are really dry or they will start shooting and its good to let them have a rest.

So long as you don't over water and keep it from the frost you should be OK. Even in March it will still look like a load of sticks, try giving it a little drink not to much and then it will start to leaf up but don't put it outside again till all fear of frost has gone.
