Yellowing privit hedge

My Privet hedge is looking a bit yellow...is this normal? I'm sure it wasn't like that last winter +confused+

Yellowing is usually a sign of either over or under watering. I suppose where you are its underwatering. As I say its usually a sign of erratic watering. Perhaps as you've had quite a drought and now you are being deluged it could be that. Privet is pretty hard so it should pick up.

how are you going to feed the stick insects if your privet is yellow?

It's been very dry here Maggie and now it's been raining nonstop for a few days..hope it'll be ok )t'

That would seem to be the answer then the erratic watering. If its stays like it, it might be a virus but keep us posted.

Stick insects eat privit!
Then they escape and lay eggs in your house plants and weeks later you find them every where yike*
