New Lawn..

Post by silverback »

Our son Stephen, has worked hard over the last couple of weeks, rotavating the ground, leveling the soil, and making preperations for laying new turfs )t' .

Just hope it gets a good soaking with the rain, especially now the hosepipe ban is in place! }hairout{ ..

Stephen deserves a )app( for doing such a good job, not exactly a little lawn is it ? It would be a bu@@er if the hosepipe ban causes problems with it. Are you going to be allowed to put the chooks on it soon Silverback ? )run(

:shock: That is soooooo good. I am very very envious - mine looks awful, and if it was nice would make the whole garden fab. }hairout{

Well done to your boy. )app(

Popped in Q&b today and they were selling off lawn roll for a pound a strip reduced from 3.94 a strip - dont know if its because most people are suffereing from the hosepipe ban and they've decided not to stock it. Anyway, I got six strips and put it down on the bare patch near the house and it looks great. See how long it lasts!

I feel your pain , we just brought a Rotavator ourselves recently and hubby has been hard at work trying to level the garden the best he can and we have been buying in grass seed each week bit by bit and now a hosepipe ban! Luckily we haven't laid any grass seed yet but what to do now!
