Look what I found hiding under some Chives today while doing some weeding............
I've named him / her Slugger.

The last house we lived in we had a large pond and over a dozen toads (I counted them when I cleaned the pond out)

Didn't see a single slug or snail in years )c(

lovely picture )t' I seem to get a lot of froglets/toads in my garden though it is a mystery where they come from as neither my neighbours or I have a pond and the gardens are well fenced off. I would agree they do keep the slug population down

I don't think I've ever seen a toad or a frog here in nearly five years.

I stopped using slug pellets a few years ago and def have more toads and frogs now and less slugs too. They do make me jump when I'm weeding though!

I haven't seen one of them for ages!

I miss the one that used to make me freak every now and then!
