You just know don't you

Post by perchy »

that once you start something small it gets out of hand yike*

The small decking area outside the patio doors has been getting very slippy and with all the rain we have not had chance to do anything with it, my neighbour has had a leaking gutter and this has dripped constantly on it }hairout{ anyway today have been outside to see what I can do and put my foot through it and now it has all been ripped up and the garden is a tip!! some 5 minute job has now turned into major renovations, I have help as ex-uni son is here and it always happens when Mr P is on nights )gr: , I have taken some pics of before and after ripping up, I need to make this area a little tidier and leave it at that until I decide what I am going to do with it, so will post later after my nervous breakdown )t'

If anyone is in the area please pop along and help )grin2(

Did you rip it ll up in temper? Is it not possible to just replace the rotten board/s?

Poor Perchy hobble foot, probably if you had nice chicken wellies then you would not have slipped so technically it is all Mr P's fault and he should buy you a nice present to say sorry

Getting sorted, moved 2 tonnes of sand

am so happy with it considering it is tidy and can sort it at my leisure without risking life and limb!

You will not believe but I have that mosaic table set and those stone chippings, we obviously have very good taste.

Yup that decking has gone to the great firewood box in the sky.

It all looks great well done.

It looks nice and everybody knows it wouldn't have been finished so quickly if your girls hadn't helped, and you've got photo evidence.

Thank you {hug}

Mrs B, I have had the table about 4 years now it has been brilliant, I am sorry to say I don't bring it in in the winter, and the stones, they didn't have what I wanted so thought rather than wait will go for something different, I think it works well considering it was a mess this morning.

Maggie, I am not sure if they thought the sack was full of food!! but they did help alot, had to rescue some frogs, fortunately I have a belfast sink nearby and they went in there, and seem quite happy.

Wendy, not until the other jobs are done {hug}

Am "resting" now ha ha ha

That looks pretty good )t'

The decking was definitely deaded though.

Just one word of warning though to your naughty husband, better footwear when working {warn}

The decking looked fab when it was first done, but I prefer it now, Mr P is going to make a planter that goes the length of the back wall so I can plant some flowers in there, work in progress )t'
