I laid a pea shingle path down the garden earlier this year and it's been brilliant all through the summer - really solved the muddy sludgy problem I've always had in the garden.

I'm sure it will be much better than the decking and it looks lovely too.

I don't normally but I have bought some pansies and planted them at the back wall after making a little raised bed, really does look nice and hope to put some bulbs in when it is time, have watered the gravel again {rofwl} to get rid of the sand, its getting there, the decking is being burn't tomorrow night so the garden will be tidy again, what a job and what a mess, but will be worth it in the end )t'

Just one question - if you want to pull the chair up to the table, do you need to move the paving slab too? +f+

Ha ha ha Helen, no it is quite solid under the gravel, and the chairs move ok, although they are heavy! )t'
