Dirty Bottoms

Post by OldForum »

2 of my chickens have very dirty bottoms and egg
production has stopped, they seem active and well
apart from this, any advice?

I have a similar situation with a few of mine at the moment. I'm assuming it's worms and have treated them with Verm-x liquid.

one of mine suffered this a couple of years ago and the flies laid eggs and maggots appeared and ate into the chook, unfortunately i lost her, so i keep an eye on mine now, and even try to catch and clean them - ess-kay

Help!! Some of my girls have dirty bottoms at the moment. I have just checked one of them, her feathers were caked with poo and there are definately some lice eggs at the bottom of her feathers.

Does anyone have any advice to rectify this problem? Or do I need to go to the vets?
