I also have a hen that is not in the best of health and am not too far from Solihull. My hen seems to be hanging in there and is still laying the occasional egg. So I'm not wanting to rush to the vet but would be grateful for the name/address/phone number of a vet who can deal with hens - in case it becomes more urgent. Our usual vet doesn't know anything about them and nor does a more "country" vet that I've also been to in the past.

Thanks!

The vet in Solihull is Roy Earle. He deals with all birds as far as I know - if you Google it you'll get the address and phone number. The practice is Amicus.
Fingers crossed you will never need him.

Many thanks for the info. I will pin that info to my noticeboard and hope that I never need it - but it is there if I do.
