I was surprised to hear from a local farmer that some breeds can actually jump/fly higher than others and that 7ft should be high enough for any of the "common" breeds. So I made mine 7ft all round and left the feathers intact for now.

If they get over that, then it's out with the shears!!!

Just a thought, but does anyone know the relative flying/jumping abilities of different breeds?
If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well.

I have a similar idea to Wendy, there is a fixed weld mesh over the entire run on the roof and two thirds of that covered in onduline. The run is sited under an oak tree and I remembered Richard's post about foxes climbing trees. I think I have covered all the options.
Yes, and it did cost a bomb!
