Different egg

Post by Verity »

Our Warren has been laying now for over a week- nice brown eggs... then, yesterday, there was no brown, but a creamy white one... is this hust a variation on a theme, or has our black rock finally laid us an egg?!

My Black Rocks laid brown eggs. Are you sure it was the Warren laying before?

FAIRLY sure- the warren is plumper, and sings like a goose
(!) every time there's an egg in the nest box. The poultry farmer who supplied us the pullets said the Warren would lay brown eggs, and the black rock, tinted ones... whatever that means!
