Three Legged Chicken

Post by Richard »

I've just watched a piece on BBC South East News about an animal sanctuary farm in Sussex which had a three legged chicken turn up!

The third one doesn't actually do anything, so they're taking it off on Saturday.
The strange thing is that the other chicken there had real attitude towards her - no sympathy there.

Apparently it's not unusual?

If you go to the BBC South East website http://www.bbc.co.uk/kent/
and navigate down to 'watch latest news' on right, the clip is right at the end, so you may have to wait for the whole thing to load before you can fast forward.

Looking at it, I reckon she's an ex-batt? - All this fiddling with nature. If so, shameful.

Warning The presenter says "A three range chicken' - oh dear.

Oh Dear,
Poor little soul,
I unfortunately couldn't open it.
But as you say if it is an adult it probably is an ex battery, and nobody even got that close to notice, before she went in..
If the others are nasty now she is out. What was it like closely confined. Doesn't bear thinking about, does it?
