At Last an Egg

Post by Phil Black Rock »

When I went to lock up the ladies last night, I gave the nestbox a cursory glance, and in the midst of the gloom and heavy rain, there it was, my first egg. Its not much bigger than a 50 pence piece, but a wonderful golden brown colour, perfectly formed in every detail. Oh the joys of fatherhood..
Slice of bacon and my own egg for breakfast, magic.

About time too!
Next big milestone will be the day when you get an egg from every hen.

Phil Black Rock - Congratulations or should I say pass that to the clever girl?
Hope you enjoyed it this morning - just wait till everyone lays every day and you start feeling like an 'egg'!
