Hi all

I have been gone for a few months (probably nobody has noticed LOL) and am now back. I had to squirrel myself away because I needed to finish writing my book on Chickens before the end of December. I have now finished it and am just sorting out publication.

So, hello to everybody! It's nice to be back in the Lane.

I have put a post in the hens needing homes section also, as I have a crowing hen who very sadly needs to be rehomed urgently. I hope there is a regular laner out there who can help with her. She is sweet, cuddly, friendly and docile - also MASSIVE. She crows (more like half crows really but louder than a hen) about three times in the morning after she is let out and I have not heard her crow during the day. More information on that thread.
