Re: What breed are these bantams please? They are 'pretty babies' or perhaps something with 'lace' in it.

Re: What breed are these bantams please? They definitely have partridge plumage. They could be bantam partridge wyndottes. Because they are so young it's difficult to be sure but if you google partridge bantams not much comes up other than wyndottes and they do look similar. They are not pekin or cochin because they have no feathers on their feet.
Where did they come from and were you given any information on them? They are very pretty. My chicken blog: http://www.carolschickens.com/
Re: What breed are these bantams please?Kitla thinks they are silver laced wyndonettes. I am boarding them for a month while their owner is abroad, not much info given I am afraid, cant fall in love with them(lke I havent already) because my girls would eat them for breakfast!

Re: What breed are these bantams please? My Hen Evil looks very similar . Also speckledy ones not far off.
Probably a cross breed. Pretty girls. As for being small. Pom Pom is half the size of the hens and she can out run them and move quicker . Bob Re: What breed are these bantams please?Actually, having just looked at some pics I think Chicken Carol is right & they're
silver partridge wyandottes rather than silver laced. Very beautiful anyway. "He who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals."

Re: What breed are these bantams please?I think they are silver partridge too. They are not silver laced as I had Sparkle a silver laced wyndotte and still have Topaz a gold laced wyndotte and the edging is just round the outer edge of the feathers with a much bigger block of silver (white really) or gold.
Partridge is very delicate and very pretty. Shame you have to give them back though. My chicken blog: http://www.carolschickens.com/
Re: What breed are these bantams please?Thankyou, C Carol could you post a pic of Topaz?

Re: What breed are these bantams please?I am not very technical and don't know how to post a photo but if you go to my blog then go to "meet the flock" you will find a portrait of each of my girls. You will then find Topaz and Sparkle who was a silver laced wyndotte. Sadly I lost her this spring.
