House hens

Post by Susan59 »

My five girls have taken to waiting for the back door to open and then racing to get inside and settle down next to the radiator in the dining room. It takes a concerted effort to chivvy them back outside. I presume they will lose interest when the weather improves.
They are bantams and stopped laying end of November, not showing any inclination to start again yet, I think it was early March last year before we had eggs.
Aspiring to early retirement - 2 children, 1 dog, 1 cat and 6 lovely chickens

Using the term 'bird brain' to describe someone without a lot of sense is in my opinion over the years, definitely not the case!!
You've just confirmed that. :-D

Like their style, 'we want it, we get it'.
