Welcome to the lane. Are these your first hens? Do tell us how you get on and what sort you get. We like to swap notes.
No doubt someone will try to persuade you to give a home to ex-battery hens (my preference is Black Rock point-of-lay)

Personally I would never buy any live animal on line. You need to see them and the conditions in which they have been kept. Google for poultry suppliers in your area but do go and choose your own. Look up the breeds and see what you fancy. If you are going for a big egg count then the normal brown hens but don't mind less eggs go for a fancier hen.
