Chook books

Post by Maisie23 »

Can anyone recommend a good chicken keeping book? Not particularly the ones that go into the different breeds so much, more an all round reference book. I'd like to do some reading up without having to stare at a computer screen for hours!

There's one called Chickens as Pets by Andrew Hinkinson, which is good for beginners.

Hello .
My sister bought me the Hayes (like the car books) Chicken manual. I have found that, that has some good information in all areas of chicken keeping.

I read A Beginners Guide to Caring for Ex-Bats by Jo Barlow in one sitting last night, absolutely excellent and I shall be passing it on to any friends who succumb to my pleas for them to get ex batts!
