Forsythia poisonous to chickens?

Post by Gwenoakes »

As title says, have read conflicting reports on google, anyone know for sure?
Reason I am asking is that we have cut a branch off the forsythia and thought if OK would be nice to go in with chickens for them to peck at and then use as a perch in the run. Thanks Gwen.

I found this https://www.ediblewildfood.com/blog/201 ... -blossoms/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; which tells us it is edible for humans, so I'd presume ok for chooks too.

Can't get on the website, Kitla.
Think I will err on the sign of caution as we can eat lots of things like grapes etc, but chickens can't, thanks anyway.
