Thanks Dave - helpful instructions. I do have a wormery. I find I have to top up with shredded paper from tme to time to stop it going soggy.

drill more holes in the bottom or check they are not blocked
water will find its own level
if the top is wet then the wormery
must be full of water!(hope the worms can swim!)
if you have holes in the bottom they must be blocked
if you have holes in the bottom at some point all the water
must run out so it is imposable for the top to become wet
is it standing on the floor if it is try putting it on some bricks
ie one under each corner
that way the water has to drain away
just remember to check it and keep it slighty damp
the top 1-2"can be dry but the rest must be damp(not wet!)
