Roosting

Post by Phil Black Rock »

My girls have been wonderful at going to bed until now, one or two or three or four or all six have decided to roost on the top of their pen now, only two of them last night but all six the night before. Anybody any idea why. Its hard to capture six of them wandering over the roof in the dark.

Just going on info I read up on chooks before I had mine, one of the reasons for the chooks not going in to their coop to roost was red mite..

Yeah, Willow is right. Red mite can stop them from going to bed.
Have a look around, I found quite a few where the door met the house.
