Can they see in the dark ?

Post by roosterbooster »

Now the dark nights are nearly upon us I am looking at fitting a light in the Chicken shed on a timer so as to extend the daylight hours for my Chickens, but just wondering if when the light goes out my girls are left in total darkness, are they able to see to be able to jump up to roost or do they wander around bumping into things all night?

i am thinking the same
real daylight goes down slowly
at dusk they go to bed
maybe the roaster booster dimms the light before it goes off
or have two lights -timmers
one on bright bulb
and one on small dull bulb
